Obituary of Peter Kuper, Jr.

Peter Kuper, Jr., 84, of Howell Township passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Pete was born in Minersville, PA.  He was raised in Millville on the family farm by his parents who immigrated from the Ukraine. Pete graduated from Rider College and then served his country proudly in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War from 1960 to 1963.  He retired as an Accounting Manager for Wakefern Food Corporation in 2001, with thirty-seven years of dedicated service.  Being a numbers guy, Pete loved playing cards, bingo, lottery, sudoku, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.  Tending to his garden, golfing, bowling, creating stained glass and completing jigsaw puzzles were some of his many hobbies.  Pete was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather and placed his family above all else.

Pete was predeceased by his wife, Ann in 2014.  He is survived by his three children, Nadine Hogan and her husband, Brendan of Garnet Valley, PA, Susan McKeown of Wilmington, DE, and Stephen Kuper of Howell; five grandchildren, Erin Hogan, Dylan Hogan, Caitlyn McKeown, William Kuper and Riley Kuper; and a brother, Tony Kuper and his wife, Jean of Millville.
