Obituary of Kurt J. Tjon

Kurt J. Tjon, 64, of Howell passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  He was born in Staten Island, raised in Grant City section, and lived in the Annadale section of Staten Island before settling here in 2013.  Kurt worked as the manager of software development for ISO in New York City prior to his retirement.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing in Gateway Park, Staten Island, and riding his Harley Davidson and Honda Shadow.

He was predeceased by his father, John Tjon in 2018.  Kurt is survived by his wife, Sheila Tjon of Howell; daughters, Ashley Tjon and her wife, Penny Kleinfeld of Norfolk, VA, Caitlin Tjon and her partner, David Ruiz of Howell, and Taylor Tjon of Staten Island; three grandchildren, Jaxon, Joey and Liam; mother, Adeline Tjon of Jackson; sister, Karen Leschak and her husband, John of Jackson; two nephews, John Leschak of Freehold and Peter Leschak of Brooklyn; and many other nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 12:00 to 3:30 PM with his funeral service to follow. Interment will be private. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required.
