Obituary of Joseph S. Nocera
Joseph S. Nocera, 72, of Manalapan passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Joe was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn before moving here in 1973. He worked for JP Morgan Chase as an Assistant Vice President in the IT Department for 35 years, retiring in 2001. A huge sports fan, he volunteered his time coaching Manalapan Little League when his boys were growing up, and loved the Jets and the Mets, having traveled to Port St. Lucie for Spring training. In his spare time, you could find Joe golfing and working in the yard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lorraine Nocera; two sons, Michael Nocera of Cranford and Stephen Nocera of Toms River; sister, Rosalie Nast and her husband, Bill , and their children, Kathryn and Brian Nast, all of Islip, NY; sister-in-law, Carolyn Cohen and her husband, Joe of the Bronx; and nephew, Joey Cohen of the Bronx.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.
