Yvonne, I guess the internet is the modern way one learns that old friends are gone. I didn't know that Dom had died a few years ago. I saw you last in the late 1950's, I think. It looks like the two of you had a lovely life complete with kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. About seven or eight years ago, I was lounging in my backyard when I decided to call. A voice from long ago. Dom brought me up to date and told me you were fine. We talked about handball in that park on Ave. P. Louie died so long ago. I sent some old photos of Dom in his army uniform. I hope he got them. I hope you saw them.
After Penn State, I had a career as a chemistry professor for over forty years. I retired twenty years ago so I have plenty of time to think of a lifetime of friends, children, their children, their children's children. And wives...
Rest in peace, Yvonne. you were such a sweet person.
Ken and I pray for peace of mind and heart to our cousins today! For Ken , memories run deep as they were the best times of his life. For me, my memories go back 40 years . Nothing but love for all of this family.
Last time I saw Aunt Yvonne, I blocked her parking spot at ShopRite so that she would see me and I yelled out the window I said you look great, she said you do too.
