Yvonne, I guess the internet is the modern way one learns that old friends are gone. I didn't know that Dom had died a few years ago. I saw you last in the late 1950's, I think. It looks like the two of you had a lovely life complete with kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. About seven or eight years ago, I was lounging in my backyard when I decided to call. A voice from long ago. Dom brought me up to date and told me you were fine. We talked about handball in that park on Ave. P. Louie died so long ago. I sent some old photos of Dom in his army uniform. I hope he got them. I hope you saw them.
After Penn State, I had a career as a chemistry professor for over forty years. I retired twenty years ago so I have plenty of time to think of a lifetime of friends, children, their children, their children's children. And wives...
Rest in peace, Yvonne. you were such a sweet person.
