Obituary of Delia T. Barton

Delia T. Barton, 85, of Freehold passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at home. She was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, before coming to the United States and living in the Bronx.  Delia had lived in Boston, Jersey City, Union, and Manalapan before settling in Freehold.  She worked as a telephone operator for H.P. Hood & Sons in Boston, Massachusetts for 18 years. Delia was a member of the Howell and Freehold Senior Centers.  She loved to play bingo and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

Delia was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Harrington in 1983; and her second husband, Raymond Barton in 2003. She is survived by her children, Jorge Besosa and his wife, Lena of the Dominican Republic, and Darlene Araujo and her husband, Manuel of Manalapan; and four grandchildren, Jordie, Sophia, Christina, and Matthew.
