Obituary of Maria Rosciglione
Maria Rosciglione, 89, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was born and raised in Palermo, a city in Sicily, Italy. Maria moved to the Bronx in the early 60’s with her husband Francesco. Together they then lived in The Bronx and Brooklyn. She then settled to Freehold. Maria worked as a Lunch Aid for P.S. 204 School in Brooklyn for over 10 years. She had a passion for sewing, she made Halloween Costumes for her grandchildren. Every night was card night for her and her friends in Surrey Downs. Above all, Maria was a devoted family woman and was passionate about spending quality time with her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francesco Rosciglione. Maria is survived by her son, Tony Rosciglione and his wife, Irene of Manalapan; grandchildren, Anthony Rosciglione, Luigi Rosciglione, Gianfranco Rosciglione, and Maria Rosciglione; and great grandchildren, Sadie, Max, and Jayden.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Monday, October 5, 2020. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines.
