Obituary of Wanda Wilson

WANDA E. WILSON, 86, of HOWELL, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Wilson was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., and had lived there and in Elizabeth, Roselle Park and Whiting before moving to Howell in 2000. Mrs. Wilson attended the Ardena Baptist Church, Howell. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey, Gloria Chapter 159 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8745, both in Whiting. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Howell Senior Center. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 2000; and a grandson, Jeremy Adam Schoenemann. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. "Butch" Wilson Jr. and his wife Maureen of Whitehouse Station; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Smith and her husband Billy of Barnegat, and Gale Schoenemann of Howell; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Matthews and her husband Keith, Megan Wilson, Theresa Wilson, Charles H. Wilson III, Melissa Gale Smith, Amanda Smith, Sharon Smith, Jessie Buschiazzo and her husband Marcelo, and Andrew Schoenemann; and a great-grandchild, Alyssa Matthews. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 and would be appreciated.
