Obituary of Antimo Carola
Antimo “Tim” Carola, 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in New York City, raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Staten Island for 20 years before settling in Freehold Township. Before Antimo’s retirement he worked as a construction supervisor for J. Levine. His favorite pastime was taking trips to Atlantic City, shooting pool and playing cards with his friends. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing and playing bocce. Antimo was a dedicated President of the Italian American Club in his community for eight years. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Antimo is survived by his wife, Diane Carola; daughters, Rachel Esposito and her husband, Michael of Freehold Township, and Maria Rescigno of Manalapan; grandchildren, Anthony Esposito and Alissa Rescigno; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
