With my deepest condolences to the Caiafa family, I truly remember a special, kind, selfless woman who was so caring throughout the many years! Although far away in FL most of the time, we all have felt Laverne's concern and love!! Always know that we will take care of your beloved son and that your family holds so many great memories of you, forever! *RIP*

Many high school afternoons were spent with Marianne and Laverne sitting in the living room in Maspeth, drinking tea, eating "S" cookies and watching General Hospital. Laverne's smile and giggle will remain with me always. Her spirit was gentle, loving, and joyful. She was true blue. She will be greatly missed by me and all who truly knew her.
