Sally Gallimore-Fox-Levine

Obituary of Sally Gallimore-Fox-Levine

Sally Gallimore-Fox-Levine, 86, of Howell passed away at home on Sunday, October 25, 2020.  She was born in Pulaski, VA and moved to New Jersey in 1936.  She lived in Linden, Matawan, Rahway, and Middlesex Borough before settling in Howell in 1965.  Sally volunteered for the Howell High School Rebel Booster Club and the Howell Township Taunton School PTA.  She was a member of the Red Bank Borough Planning Board, member and chairman of the Howell Township Planning Board, a member of the Howell Township Board of Education, and served as a Howell Township Committeewoman and as Deputy Mayor.  Sally oversaw the dualization of Route 9, making it the two-lane highway we all drive on today. She was most proud of her position as the Borough Administrator of Red Bank.  Her greatest accomplishment was her family, and according to her, all four of her kids were her favorite, (but we all know it was Cynthia.)

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Levine in 2002.  Sally is survived by her children, Dale Fox of Ridgeway, PA. Don Fox and his wife, Stephanie of Jacksonville, FL, Gary Fox and his wife, Anne of Lake Mary, FL,  and Cynthia Ibrahim of Freehold; eight grandchildren, Katie, Alex, Andrew and his wife, Sarah, Tessa, Jeffrey, Isabelle, Randall, Scooter and his fiancé, Shannon; and two great grandchildren, Anthony and Gabby.

All arrangements were private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in Sally’s name may be made to Red Bank Borough Fire Department, 90 Monmouth Street, Red Bank. New Jersey 07701.  For information or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
