Obituary of Elena Frasca
Elena Frasca, 83, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Chianchetelle, Italy and came to the United States around the age of 16, moving to Union City, NJ. Elena then lived in Bradley Beach and settled to Howell 11 years ago. She worked as a seamstress for many years and most recently as a nanny. Elena had a passion for singing which led her to join the choir at the Ascension Church in Bradley Beach. She was known for her amazing cooking, especially her special recipe for lasagna and meat balls. Elena had the biggest fig tree in her family, standing at six feet tall. She took the seeds from Italy and tended to it with love, allowing it to thrive. Her family could be found taking figs when they would visit her. Above all, Elena was devoted to her family and always put them first.
She was predeceased by her parents, Virgilio and Angelina Ranaudo; and siblings, Richie Ranaudo, Rina Donnabella, Gerry Ranaudo, and Tony Ranaudo. Elena is survived by her beloved daughter, Suzanne Newell and her husband, Peter of Howell; two grandchildren, Samuel and Alexander Newell; siblings, Alice Picone of Ridgefield Park and Emil Ranaudo and his wife, Barbara of Wall; and many loving extended family members.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
