Obituary of Richard Pelphrey
RICHARD T. PELPHREY, 57, of Kinnelon, formerly of HOWELL, died Monday, Dec. 17, at home. Mr. Pelphrey was born in Chandler, N.C. and was raised in Riverdale and had lived in Oak Ridge and Howell before settling in Kinnelon in 1993. Mr. Pelphrey was a salesman in the North Jersey area his whole life. Mr. Pelphrey was a 1976 graduate of Georgetown College, Kentucky.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Pelphrey of Hoboken, and Robert Pelphrey of Howell; his former wife, Laurie Pelphrey of Howell; a brother, Rev. Phillip Pelphrey of Franklinville; his dear friends, John Bydook, George Winne, and Joseph Hardenbrook; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
