Obituary of Thomas E. Walker
Thomas E. Walker, 70, of Howell passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 4, 2020. Thomas was born in Long Branch and raised in Matawan. He moved to Point Pleasant and raised his family there until moving to Freehold in 2010. Thomas was an ironworker for Arnold Steel Company, Howell Township for over thirty years. He retired from Rabinowitz Iron Works, Old Bridge in 2007. A true outdoorsman, Thomas was a member of the Running Buck Gun Club, and pursued his passion of the outdoors from Vermont to Alabama. Never far from a beer, and a shot of Jack, Tom enjoyed his time by the log -splitter, shooting pool with friends, and keeping his property beautiful. Family was his biggest love in life!
Thomas was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara in 2007; a sister, Patricia Hamlin; and two brothers, Richard Walker and James Walker. He is survived by his wife, Eleanora; children, Jude Walker and his wife, Lisa of Point Pleasant and Brooke Burnham and her husband, Scott of West Pawlet, VT; three stepchildren, Nicole Straniero of Aberdeen, Michelle Straniero of Cliffwood and Daniel Straniero and his fiancée, Archana Harpaul; six grandchildren, Skylar Walker, Emilee Graetz, Olivia Burnham, Owen Burnham, Antonio Straniero and Nora Straniero; siblings, Larry Walker of Morganville, Nadine Phelan, and Bob Walker, both of Matawan; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
