Obituary of Frank E. Scott, III
Frank E. Scott, III, 84, of Wall passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of Wall. Frank was in the Manasquan High School graduating class of 1956. He worked in the grocery store industry for 65 years, first as a carriage boy for A & P in the shore area, working his way up the ranks eventually retiring from Saker ShopRites, Inc., as a manager. Frank bowled with the Blue Flames at the Sea Girt Lanes. He loved to watch the Giants and the Yankees and was a huge fan of Mickey Mantle. Frank took great pride in his home and enjoyed mowing his lawn. He could be found at the beach watching the waves when a hurricane was blowing in. A true family man, he was a devoted husband, loving father and adoring grandpa.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Samantha E. Larreau, and his canine companion, JD. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Scott; three children, Colleen Alarcon and her husband, Julian of San Diego, CA, Frank E. Scott, IV and his wife, Christine of Allenwood, and Kevin Scott and his wife, Teresa of Wall; grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Shaun Scott, Megan Rafferty and her husband, Logan, and Katie Scott; brother, Robert Scott and his wife, Patricia of Wall; sister-in-law, Muriel Larsen and her husband, Bill of Neptune City; nephews, Robert Scott, Jr., and Edward Scott and his wife, Kristen; and nieces, Michelle Larsen, and Marleen Maddix and her husband, Bob.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2020. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required.
