Obituary of Patricia McKnight

Patricia McKnight, better known as Patti, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  She was born on April 24, 1941 in Asbury Park, New Jersey to the late Sophie Dorothy Kennedy of Jersey City and Hugh Blake Kennedy of Scotland. 

Patti was predeceased by her older sister, Rosemarie Rhyne in December 2017. She is survived by her husband, Bobby L. McKnight of 29 years; cousins, Thomas Nungesser and his wife Dianne, Phyllis Hayes and her husband Bob, and Penny Jones; nieces and nephew, Patricia Rhyne-Kirsch, and her husband Peter A. Kirsch, Kendall Sidney Rhyne, and Randall Sylvanus Rhyne; second cousins, Steven Nungesser and his wife Kathy, and DeeDee Napoliello and her husband, Michael. Patti loved visiting with all her great nieces and nephews, Kyle Anthony Kirsch, Mitchell Rhyne Kirsch, Taylor Kennedy Rhyne, Kendall Sidney Rhyne, Jr., and Sydney Therese Kirsch.She also leaves behind a stepson, Rob McKnight; and 4 grandsons, Maliki, Ronan, Thomas, and Erin.

Patti was known for her BIG heart, warm smile, great sense of humor.  She always put others first and took care of people in need. She loved taking care of children and visiting retirement homes with her beloved certified dog, Snowflake.  Patti loved and cared for all animals, she adored spending time with family.  She enjoyed a sunny day at the beach, a good amusement park, and Carvel ice cream. Patti collected and cherished everything Snoopy and could be found reading Archie comic books late into the night. Patti appreciated the simple things in life and was just such a joy to be around.
