Obituary of John A. Mitchell

John A. Mitchell, 92, of Howell passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Newark and had lived in Nutley and Linden before settling to Howell in 1962. John worked as a Draftsman Engineer for many years. He was known for being a handyman and often enjoyed building anything he could. John loved to travel in his motor home across the country. He was selfless, family oriented, and always took care of his family and others any chance he had. John above all, was passionate about spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Mitchell. John is survived by his daughters, Linda Mitchell of Freehold and Patti Lese and her husband, Greg of Howell; grandchildren, Sandy Lese of Brick and Rachael Domer and her husband Doug of Fairfax, VA; great grandchildren, Danielle Domer and Jackson Domer.
