Obituary of Thaddeus F. Orlik, Jr.

Thaddeus “Ted” Orlik, Jr ,69, of Howell passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Centra State Medical Center. He was born in Bayonne, raised in Jersey City and Kenilworth, and had lived in Fords for 29 years before settling in Howell 11 months ago.  Ted was employed by the Jersey City Incinerator Authority for 30 years as a sweeper operator. He enjoyed sitting outside with a hot cup of coffee watching his grandson and granddogs play. Ted loved riding his scooter, and he always joked with everyone that it was his “hog”. He enjoyed listening to 1010wins and watching the weather channel. Ted enjoyed camping by a huge fire and laying on a hot sandy beach. He was strong in his faith and prayed daily. Ted had a love for children and his favorite hobby was dressing up as Santa Claus during Christmas time.   

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Orlik of Howell; Two sons TJ Orlik and his wife Colleen of Morganville, Daniel Orlik of Old Bridge; Two grandsons, Tanner and Thomas; Mother, Ella Orlik of Westfield; Sister, Deborah Spagnuolo of Clark; Nephews, Anthony, Nicholas and Rocco; Great Nieces and Nephews, Samantha, Aubrey, Christian, Nick, and Luke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.  Interment will be private. Donations in Ted’s name may be made to The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
