Obituary of Philip Frank Pagano

Philip Pagano, 64, of Marlboro passed away at Bayshore Medical Center on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island, and settled in Marlboro. Philip was the founder and owner of the Sunshine Landscaping Company. A lifelong fan of the Mets, his athletic prowess was met with his childhood dream when he had the chance to play shortstop at Citi Field when he was selected to try out for the Mets. In addition to baseball, Philip enjoyed football immensely, always cheering on his Jets. He knew how to relax and have a good time. Philip could often be found fishing in the lakes, rivers, and oceans of the east coast, or driving his family around in his Corvette to make a run to Ralph’s for some Italian Ice.  Philips fondest memories were coaching and training each of his daughters’ soccer teams, as well as fishing and crabbing on his boat. In his spare time, he loved camping and trips to Disney, Myrtle Beach and Six Flags with his family. Philip grew up with the Sicilianos and Balzaranos and has been best friends with them since the age of 5.  Most of all Philip would be found at home, in his robe, eating Chinese food, with a Pepsi in hand, surrounded by his large beloved family, who will treasure these memories of him most of all.

He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Concetta Pagano; and dog DeDe. Philip is survived by his fiancée, Barbara Peters of Marlboro; daughters, Tiffany Pagano of Howell, Brittany Pagano of Howell, Sandy Pagano of Howell, and Taylor Pagano of Howell; stepdaughters, Jessica Peters of Freehold, Samantha Peters of Marlboro, and Dana Peters of Marlboro; sister, JoAnne Cronin of Staten Island; friend and former wife of 22 years, Sandra Pagano and his fur babies, Roxy, Lola, Zoey and Rocco.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Due to COVID-19, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines.
