Obituary of Roy Christensen

Roy Christensen, 71, of Whiting passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Capital Health Medical Center in Pennington. He was born in Neptune, raised in Millstone Township, and had lived in Georgia and Illinois and spent his retirement years in Whiting. Roy bravely served in the United States Army during the Cold War from 1969 to 1989. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed bowling, and shooting pool.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Harvey Christensen; sister, Margaret Wagner and her husband, Gaywood, and sister, Elizabeth Trail. Roy is survived by his children, Roy Raymond Christensen of Pekin, Illinois, Judy Christensen of Pekin, Illinois, and Connie Lee Tibbs, and her husband, Steve of Walterboro, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Hunter, Breanna, Cody, Tanner, Dalton, and Victoria; one great grandson, Linkin; brother, James Danser and his wife, Eileen; brother-in-law, Glenn Trail; longtime girlfriend, Joyce Rager of Whiting; and several nieces and nephews.
