Obituary of Frank R. Camarda
Frank Camarda, 94, of Jackson passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was born in New York City, raised in Staten Island, and in 2001 settled in Jackson. Frank was a world traveler taking many trips with his family to their favorite villa in Positano, Italy. He was a champion bocci player winning and defending his title at Four Seasons. Frank loved New York sports teams, always making sure everyone had a great time cheering on his Mets and Knicks. Frank defended America fighting in World War II, earning the rank of Corporal serving in The United States Army. The greatest achievement of Frank’s life was becoming a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and all-around fun guy who was always ready for an adventure.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Robert Camarda in 2015. Frank is survived by his cherished wife of 70 years, Edith Camarda; daughter, Karen Favazza and her husband, Dennis of Jackson; grandchildren, Samantha Favazza of Howell; and Christopher Favazza and his wife, Lisa of Howell; and great grandchildren, Christian Napolitano, and Felicity Favazza.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at the Co-Catherdral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
