Dear Ifantis Family, I worked with Steve at MARSD, and I know that you, his family, were his entire world. He was so proud, and was so joyful when he spoke of all of you. He was a good man; a thoughtful person. I’m sorry for your sadness... I know he will be an angel to you all, and I hope that brings you comfort.
He was the sweetest man I ever met. When he drove for the Matawan school district he always dropped my daughter off in front of our house. My house was between two drop offs. He didn't think it was safe for her to walk up the street. So he always made sure she was safe. The same when he would drive the late bus, he made sure my other daughter got dropped off in front of the house. We would once in awhile go to Dunkin for coffee. He made me laugh when he thought I was my oldest daughters grandmother. She told him no that I was her mother. He couldn't apologize enough. It was like a joke between us. We both laughed. My heart and my daughters hearts are broken. Thoughts and prayers to his wife and children and family and to all the kids who had him as the best bus driver. He will be missed dearly. One of a kind. God Bless sweet man.
So very sorry for the loss of your dear husband, father, and grandfather...he was a very nice man, and will be missed.
