Obituary of Eugenia Z. Bobek

Eugenia Z. Bobek, 60, of Manchester passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at AristaCare at Manchester.  She was born in Queens and raised in Brooklyn. Eugenia moved to Freehold Township in 1970 and then to Beachwood in 1995 before settling in Manchester. She worked at CentraState Medical Center (formally Freehold Area Hospital) as a nurse in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit.  Prior to working at CentraState, Eugenia was a nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Post Cardio Thoracic Unit and at Cooper University Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Eugenia was predeceased by her husband, Gerard William Bobek in 2015; and parents, Alexander and Elizabeth Zanko.  She is survived by many loving cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow.  Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
