Condolences
My condolences to all the Whiteside family. Mrs. Whiteside will be always in my family's hearts and memories. I still remember her smile when she came to visit us when Alexandra was born. Her advice was always well taken and her kindness unlimited.
Alex, Karen, Julie, and Peggy Ann (It's a Godfather thing: to stick with the little kid names!),
My heart breaks for all of you. Losing a big sister is tough. Losing a Mom is much tougher. However we all know you were blessed to have the quintessential Mom. Looked up "Mom" in the dictionary, and there was her picture. Then I looked up "family" and there she was again with the notation "synonym: Peggy Smith". Love, Uncle Tommy
Peggy was (and still is) a wonderful person whose heart could not be bounded by mere flesh and blood - she exemplified the very heart and love of Jesus to all she met. She has been missed dearly by our St. Anselm family for some time now, but has continued to live on in our hearts and minds nonetheless. May the Holy Spirit embrace and comfort her family, friends and loved ones who now have a vacuum that she once filled with her spark and enthusiatic charisma. May God bless her always...
With much Love, her St Anselm Parish family
Bill and I are very sad to hear our friend Peggy passed away. We go back many years on Staten Island and at sacred heart school together with her and Conrad She will be greatly missed. She was so good hearted. She enjoyed celebrating St Patrick’s Day and the forest Avenue parade. The whitesides are a wonderful family.
Thinking of you all as you celebrate Peggy Whiteside's remarkable life. Know that so many are missing her along with you. With heartfelt sympathy and my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Peggy Whiteside.
She is gone but will never be forgotten.
I knew Peggy from South from when my kids were there. I used to be a little afraid of her. When she was in charge of EHTC she stopped by our house to drop off some cookies when my son was on home instruction. I remember looking out the window when the bell rang and wondering who I knew that drove a convertible.
I've had the pleasure of seeing her again while she was subbing.
Peggy was a wonderful, caring person. My condolences to all.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Gallagher
I worked with Peggy at South when I was expecting with my first child- she took such great care of me.
Most recently, she recognized me in church at St. Veronica's after many years and I was so happy to have seen her again.
My deepest condolences to her beautiful family.
On behalf of the Miss Staten Island-Miss Richmond County Scholarship Organization, please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mom (sister, grandmother). Our organization was very fortunate to have her serve as our backstage nurse for several Pageant Productions. Peggy's warm engaging personality, humor and take charge attitude, was a great comfort to all of our contestants. Along with her First Aid Kit,she came with a supply of hair clips, safety pins, tape, ice packs and needles and threads of many colors. She is now an angel and joins the rest of her family who will welcome her into heaven. May she rest in peace.

I am so saddened by the loss of Peggy. I was also a school nurse and knew her from the Monmouth School Nurse Association. She was a wonderful and caring woman. May your loving memories comfort you during this time. I lost my sister in November so I understand the deep grief your family is going through. God bless your family.
I worked with Peggy for many years. She was a great Lady, extremely capable, and a sense of humor as well. We who knew her at “South” will miss “Nurse Ratchet”. She was one of a kind. My sincere condolences to family.
I’m so sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing I worked with her as a Middletown sub nurse. She was a great school nurse and she made the day enjoyable with her quick wit and funny stories. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of Jesus where life never ends. She will be missed ❤️
Peggy was a wonderful person who brought sunshine into the lives of so many people. She was a terrific nurse who cared greatly about the students and staff at Middletown High School South. I will always treasure my memories of working with Peggy, she left a lasting impression.
Peggy came into my life later as a sister-in-law but she became more. Every time we got together, which wasn't often as I live in Utah and she in New Jersey, we had fun and good times. Some of those times were for weddings and some for funerals, but we always had great times. She was a very family type person so she will be missed by all her children and their children. I will miss her, because of our friendship.
So my condolences to all the family and friends she had. We have all lost a special person. Let her memory be with us always. Paul Nelson
Our deepest condolences to the family. I had the privilege of growing up next door to Mrs Whiteside and family. Karen and I became lifelong friends, that friendship endures 45+ years later. We did many things together as a family, trips, swimming and sleepovers. I will always remember Mrs Whiteside driving that big white station wagon and chewing trident gum, lol. She was such a good friend to my mom and family. She will be missed beyond words.
We were very sorry to hear of Peg’s passing .
With Sympathy,
The Pelano Family
Condolences aren't even enough to say to the Whiteside family. Peggy welcomed me into her house, home, like family with open arms. I think of her as a mom away from home, and to say she will be missed is an understatement. God bless the Whiteside family. Love you all
