Obituary of Caroline A. Raimondo
Caroline A. Raimondo, 94, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Wedgwood Gardens Care Center. She was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Brooklyn before settling in Freehold in 1990. The matriarch of her family, she loved cooking and baking. Caroline also loved to watch soap operas and enjoy a glass of wine at dinner.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Domenico “Mimi” Raimondo in 1993; three brothers, one sister, and her grandson, Joseph Cacciatore. She is survived by four daughters, Andreina Fazio and her husband, James of Freehold, Frances Meli and her husband, Salvatore of Brooklyn, NY, JoAnna Cacciatore of Freehold, and Catherine Rinaldi and her husband, Vincent of Jackson; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and sister, Josephine Capria of Monroe, CT.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold Township.
