Maria Debra DiMaggio, 60, of North Stonington, CT passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born, raised, and had lived her whole life in Connecticut. Debbie received many certificates, including a recognition of meritorious service, a certification of appreciation in recognition of her outstanding volunteer service, and a certificate in recognition of all of her hard work to brighten the lives of the Groton Regency Center residents. She was a ray of sunshine and was known for her love of eating chocolate chip cookies. Debbie was extremely loved and will be missed by all who had the honor of meeting her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Jeanette. Debbie is survived by her loving siblings, Sara DiMaggio of Freehold, Gina Kahwaty and her husband, Al of Freehold, Anthony DiMaggio of Freehold, and Marcella Davis and her husband, Gabriel of Barnegat; nieces and nephews, Christina Canitano and her husband, Rob, Jessica Forte, Christopher Kahwaty, Grace Davis, and Gabriel Davis; grand-niece, Eliana; aunts and uncles, Mary DeBlasio, Rose DiGangi and her husband, Rosario, Camille Cassandra, and Loretta DiBartolo; and numerous loving cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM with words of remembrance to follow.
