Two weeks have gone by and it is still so very hard to believe. While I only met Steve back in the fall we instantly hit it off. His love of his family was immediately obvious. His passion, energy and enthusiasm around the softball team was contagious. I remember him saying he felt blessed that our daughters met. Both are so competitive. Steve loved competitive athletes. He would push my daughter to get better... but was so very encouraging when doing so. "You work hard kid. Keep putting in the work and good things will happen" , he would say. I miss him beating on his softball bucket like a drum at games. I miss our talks while watching practice and pitching lessons. While our time together as friends was short, his mark on me was deep. It was me and my family who were blessed. I am forever grateful to have met Steve and will do my very best to honor his memory by carrying on his passion, energy and enthusiasm. Rest in peace, my friend and may you and our heavenly Father watch over your beautiful family.
I knew Steve briefly in his time with IFG. i always ran into him at our meetings. Even in the short time I knew him, I could tell that he was a true professional & great humanitarian. He was so knowledgeable & easy going. I was looking forward to future run ins. Speaking on a personal as a father & husband. I can't imagine the hole this has left and I am truly empathetic to what you are feeling. I will keep Steve and your entire family in my prayers.
Steven and I worked together at the bank, he was the financial advisor. He would constantly keep our spirits up, his smile lit up the room, and the customers loved him. It was truly a pleasure working with him. May he Rest In Peace.
I am forever grateful that my daughter Eve and Lauren were on the same Ruthless Softball Team because it is where I met my Buddy Steve. He was the Best. During Softball Practice, Steve and I would pass the time together talking about North Jersey, The Yankees, and which one of us got the best parking spot. The last time I saw Steve was at Sportika. I was driving around in circles looking for a good parking spot and saw Steve standing on the opposite side next to an empty spot in a prime location. I called out to him and told him I wanted that spot but was worried that someone else would snag it before me. Steve said, “Don’t worry, I got you.” and stood in the parking spot until I got there. That’s my Buddy Steve, always looking out for others. Don’t worry Steve, we will look out for Jessie and the Girls like you did for us and our Girl. Love and Prayers, Jennifer and the Segals
During Steven's first three years at Rosa Parks High School I was the Band Director and, as such, was well acquainted with him. He was a fine young man and I can only imagine the wonderful adult he became. The world is poorer for his passing. I offer my sincerest sympathies to his family.

Soto Family, the Haro Family is devastated for ur lost. He is truly a wonderful son, brother, cousin, Godbrother, husband, father and a true friend. Both our mothers grew up together as teenagers and we grew up together as family. We will always treasure the wonderful memories together. Your smile and laughter will be in our hearts. You will truly be missed. RIp my brother.
Jess, Lauren and Kendall,
Our hearts are broken with yours over this senseless loss. Steve was always there to cheer the girls on and was the quintessential family man who clearly loved his girls. It was great coaching with and against him because he was always pushing us all to be better ball players.
I remember watching Lauren singing in a play at Laura Donovan and happen to glance over and see him just beaming with sheer love and pride at her, it was touching. You have a wonderful angel now who will never be far away, keep the faith.
With love,
The Lasater Family
Steve you will be missed. It was a pleasure to have you as a friend, and coworker. You took care of your clients well and helped many of them achieve their goals. I enjoyed our conversations that we had. We bounced ideas off of each other, and always pushed each other to get better and become better Financial Advisors.
I remember you, Lauren, myself and my son played golf last year. It was a great time!
Rest easy my friend.
Regards,
Albert Rich and family.
We lost a great friend, co worker and family man. He truly was in the prime of his life. A man that was great at his job and even better with his words. He was a very intelligent man and always had everyone’s best interest at heart. Steve you will be missed. May you Rest In Peace and no longer suffer.

Soto family,
For the last 2 years I have enjoyed every interaction I have had with Steve thanks to Softball. Steve was always positive, always something good to say no matter what. I know how much he loved watching Lauren pitch during our games and no matter who was throwing he supported everyone and was always that calming voice from the side.....We will all miss hearing "thats two for you Lauren". Steve will be missed by everyone he touched, he was that kind of guy!
My deepest condolences to the Soto family and all of his friends who's lives Steve touched.

My beloved nephew, remembering when you was a little boy and growing up to become such a responsible father and caring person. To lose you in prime of your life it seems unfair. But I guess the Lord, must needed you. We the elders of the family should not buried our babies . May you rest peace. I will see you later for good bye is not a option. We send our Love, and prayers. Uncle Ricky & Titi Olga.
What a great family man and friend! He truly loved his family and always had time to chat and smile with others! I will miss seeing him around town and at the kids sports! Gone way too soon. RIP Steve.....so sorry and sending continued love and support to Jess and the girls!
What can I say about my other big brother growing up that hasn't been said already. Although distance brought us apart, I've always remembered the backyard wiffle ball games we played. Us working out and break dancing in your garage. The football games at the oval and in the streets yelling CAR so we didn't get run over and all the rides to Rosa Parks.
You will forever be in my thoughts and your family in my prayers. Until we meet again for some wiffle ball games in Heaven.
Your friend,
Tek Doko
