Obituary of Melissa Barresi
Melissa Barresi, 39, of Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Secaucus, raised in Bayonne and Wall, and had lived in Neptune before settling to Farmingdale in 2013. Melissa received her bachelor’s degrees from TCNJ in Education and from NJCU in Accounting. She worked as an Accountant for Wacoal in Lyndhurst and most recently for New Jersey Natural Gas in Wall. Melissa thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending to her garden. Her caring nature, kind heart, and positive attitude was what she was most known for. Above all, Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, who was passionate about spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Christopher Miller of Farmingdale; daughter, Katalina Miller of Farmingdale; parents, Thomas Barresi and Margaret Mary of Wall; sisters, Kate Carr and her husband, Brady of Wall, and April Barresi and her boyfriend, Craig Hymowitz of Asbury Park; nephews, Brady Carr, Jr., and Sterling Carr; niece, Tessa Carr; and canine companions, Algebra, Cisco, and Kiwi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial gathering at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
