Obituary of Carmela Artale

Carmela Artale, 92, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and settled to Silvermead, Freehold. She worked as a Manager for Gold Seal Lingerie in Manhattan, NY for 25 years and was a member of the ILGWU Local 32.

She was predeceased by her husband, Santo Artale; brother, Frank; sister, Josephine; and niece, Rose. Carmela is survived by her nephews, Richard Polimine of Pennsylvania and Stephen Polimine of Freehold; nieces, Lauren Maisano of Upstate, NY, Dayna Bergen of Ramsey, Antonella Artale of Italy and Caterina Artale of Italy; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
