Obituary of Harold Langdon
HAROLD "HAD" E. LANGDON, 95, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Friday, Dec. 28, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Langdon was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and had lived in Woodbridge before moving to Freehold Township in 1967. Mr. Langdon was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during World War II. He was a 50-year member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 1668, Oakmont, Pa. He was a charter member of the Philip A. Reynolds Marie Corps League, Chapter 203, Freehold. Mr. Langdon was a Golf Country Club professional. His past employment included the Colonia Country Club, Colonia; the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan, and the Belle Vista Country Club, Marlboro. Mr. Langdon also played professional golf in the mid- to late 1940s.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen M., in 2000. Surviving are a son, Nick H. Langdon of Coventry, R.I.; and two grandchildren, Theodore P. Langdon and Ingrid C. Langdon.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Langdon may be made to the Philip A. Reynolds Marine Corps League, Chapter 203, P.O.
