Obituary of Mary D. Ulsh
Mary (Molly) Ulsh, 86, of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Born on November 28, 1934, in Dallas, PA, Molly was the daughter of John C. Durbin and Mary H. Freil. She graduated from high school in Fitchburg, MA, and then while attending Penn State University she met her husband, Stanley, a future USAF pilot. The newly married couple began the first of a dozen moves around the country. Their residences included Florida, Texas, Connecticut, Virginia and Missouri, before retiring to Madison, CT and Chester, CT. In 2017, Molly moved to the Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge, NJ, to be closer to family. Molly was a homemaker and the primary caregiver to her disabled son, Kevin, which while challenging, brought them both great joy throughout his life. Molly enjoyed travel and bowling, was an accomplished painter, an avid fan of Penn State football and UConn women’s basketball, an antique collector, and enjoyed long-lasting relationships with friends developed over the years of multiple family relocations.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and his wife, Patricia of Centreville, VA, and Brian and his wife, Nancy of Morganville, NJ; five granddaughters, Diana of San Diego, CA, Catherine of Sterling, VA, Mary of Roxborough, PA, Megan of Philadelphia, PA, Rachael of Ashburn, VA; and a grandson, Liam of Charlottesville, VA.
