Obituary of Marie Ann Senk

Marie Ann Senk, 79, of Manchester passed away at Community Medical Center with her family by her side on Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born and raised in Downtown Brooklyn and moved to Freehold before settling to Manchester in 2009. Marie spent her whole life raising her family and caring for others. She later took on a job at Lord and Taylor in the Freehold Mall she was a sales associate for 11 years and always knew the best sales and fashions. Marie had a love for cooking and was known for her eggplant and pork chops. Her family will always remember her sense of humor and her constant willingness to always give to others.

She was predeceased by her parents, Gaetano “Tommy” and Rita; brother, Joseph; and sister in-law, Loretta. Marie is survived by her children, Celia Canitano and her husband, Robert of Manalapan, Joseph Senk and his wife, Joalene of Brick; grandchildren Robert and his wife Christina, Matthew and fiancé Stephanie, Andrew and his wife Tara, Anthony, and Brianna; one brother, Peter Saccente of Westchester, New York; sister-in-law, Lillian Saccente of Bayville.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 9:00 AM to process to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Rd, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Queens, NY 11379. Donations in memory of Marie may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
