Obituary of Elisa Nelson

Elisa Nelson, 69, of Freehold passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, had moved to Old Bridge when she was in High School, and settled to Freehold. Elisa worked as an office manager as well as a licensed Real Estate Agent for Weber Realty in Matawan. She was a devoted employee and loved to keep busy. Elisa enjoyed all things Betty Boop and was known for her passion of collecting llardo’s. Above all, she was dedicated to spending quality time with her family.

She was predeceased by her former husband, David M. Nelson in 2016. Elisa is survived by her two sons, David Nelson and his wife, Gina of Ruther Glen, VA, and Robert Nelson and his wife, Michelle of McDonald, PA; grandchildren, Anthony and his wife, Amber, Joey, Brendan, Gianna, Connor, and Devin; great grandchildren, Renee and Jordyn; siblings, Nancy Ahmed and her husband, Mushtaq “Uncle Lemon” of Old Bridge, Carolyn Bentzinger and her husband, Rick of New Hampshire, and Charles Favilla and his wife, Colleen of Freehold; and her extended loved ones, The Weber Family, whom she worked for 35 years.

A gathering of friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with her memorial service to follow. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions in honor of Elisa may be made to the Organization for Autism Research.
