Obituary of Mildred "Millie" Coughlin

Mildred 'Millie' (Riviezzo) Coughlin, age 89, of Four Seasons in Wall Township, (formerly of Colonia), passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Coughlin, Jr. in 1987.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and son in-law, Nancy & Henry DiPasquale, Jr., and her beloved grandson, Colin, of Moorestown, NJ; a sister, Julia Bongo; and dear cousins and friends.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Millie was a graduate of Barringer High School in 1949, and Seton Hall University in 1953.

Millie was a teacher for 43 years; 41 of those years at Brookside Elementary School in Cranford, NJ, before retiring in 1997.

Since 1947, Millie was a 74-year member of the Wippitties, a group of high school girlfriends who met for cake and coffee every week without fail, all the way through their mid 80's.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow.
