Obituary of Eric Paul Andrus

Eric P. Andrus, 33, of Howell passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, June 24, 2021.  Eric was born in Long Branch and spent most of his childhood in Wall Township before moving to Howell in 2006.  He  was an avid Yankees and Giants fan, and enjoyed watching all sports with his brothers.  Eric loved spending time with his family, especially his two children who were the most important people in his life.  He was loving, kind, caring and always had the ability to make everyone laugh, especially at their many family gatherings.  

Eric was predeceased by his grandmother, Pamela King Hamernick in 2005.  He is survived by his loving mother, Lisa Andrus of Howell; his children, Brayden and Hailey Andrus;  brothers, Alex Andrus of Howell and Daniel Andrus of Farmingdale;  grandfather, Kenneth Hamernick of Howell, who helped raise him for over half his life; grandparents, Anna and Stanley Andrus of FL;  aunt and uncle, Kim and Robert Marziale of Howell, who were like his second parents; cousins, Lindsey Murillo and her husband, Clarence of Manville, and Kelsey Marziale of Howell, who were like sisters to him; nephew, Daniel Andrus, Jr. and niece, Madison Andrus of Farmingdale who he adored; aunts, Lori Andrus Calabrese and Tara McLaughlin of FL; and cousins, Ashley Calabrese and Paul Calabrese of FL, and Alyssa Garcia of CA.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in Eric’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
