Obituary of Michael A. Carr

Michael A. Carr, 75, of Farmingdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13^th, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia and lived there until he was nine, moved to Old Bridge, then settled in Farmingdale in 1972. Michael was the owner and operator of Sterling Contractors as a painting contractor for over 35 dedicated years. He was an avid fisherman and car enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his parents Watson and Mary Carr. Michael is survived by his wife, Dorothy Carr of Farmingdale; children, Lynette Carr of Howell and Michael Carr and his wife, Julianne of San Diago, CA; and granddaughter, Melanie Carr of San Diago CA.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, July 17^th, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30AM with his funeral service to follow. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. Memorial contributions in Michael’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
