Obituary of Michael Richard Cannon

Michael Richard Cannon, 62, of Howell passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Biloxi Mississippi he was raised in a military family who traveled all around the world to various military bases before settling to New Jersey in the 70’s.  He worked at Six Flags Great Adventure in the warehouse department for the last 40 years. A jack of all trades there wasn’t much Michael couldn’t fix, His most favorite item to tinker with was his mustang. Michael reminisced often of his days of camping with his family, those being some of his best memories.

He was predeceased by his parents Matthew and Helen Cannon, and sister, Denise. Michael is survived by his wife of 27 years, Theresa Cannon of Howell, Children, Stephanie, Erin and Steven.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Service on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at St. Annes Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Road, Wall Township 07719.
