I grew up living next door to Alfred and his parents on McClean Avenue in South Beach. He was someone I admired as a kid. I recall him going to High School, going off to the Coast Guard, marrying Barbara Ann and the birth of his sons. I also remember him telling me about his printing business as he sometimes gave me a ride into lower Manhattan so I could take the train uptown to school. I spoke to my four siblings about his passing and each one had the same reaction that I had; he was truly a prince.
Condolences to all of you, please take solace in the fact that he was one of the finest people that I have known in my lifetime, and you are all part of his wonderful legacy.
God's Speed,
Dominick Nigro
