Obituary of Dolores Rowland

Dolores Rowland (nee Reuss), of Brick, passed away on December 14, 2012 in Brick two and a half weeks before her 95th birthday. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Born on January 2, 1918, in Brooklyn, NYC; Daughter of the late William and Mary Reuss. She was a long time resident of Manhasset, NY; moving to Brick in 1993 from Wantagh, NY. She was married to Perry Como's pianist, Billy Rowland, her husband of 47 years. Her brother, the late Allan Reuss, was the famous guitarist. She is pre-deceased by her husband, daughter Leslie McCarthy and sister Virginia Squire, and is survived by devoted son Alan Rowland of Brick NJ; grandson William and wife Susan Robertson of Howell, beloved great-grandchildren Thomas and Kristin, niece Charlene Newman and close friends Hank and Fran Marinelli. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be celebrated in her honor at 11:00 AM on December 29, 2012 at the Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold, NJ 07728.
