Obituary of Karlie Jean Wickberg Laguatan

Karlie Jean Wickberg Laguatan, 33, of Howell passed away at home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  She was born in New Brunswick and raised in Old Bridge until 1996 where she remained until settling here.  Karlie worked as a BSN, RN-BC for Hackensack Meridian Health. She adored her pets, as well as all other animals, and home decor. Karlie will be remembered by her sense of humor and her caring and generous nature.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Joseph P. and Bernice Mascio; paternal grandfather, Richard A. Wickberg; uncle, Darren Wickberg; and cousin, Darren Wickberg. Karlie is survived by her beloved husband, Brian Laguatan of Howell; parents, Richard and Gina Wickberg of Farmingdale; brother, Richard J. Wickberg and his wife, Marisa of Colts Neck; nieces, Marielle and Gabriella Wickberg both of Colts Neck; aunt, Lisa Ludwig and her husband Al of Freehold; cousins, Nicole Higley and her husband, Jarrett of Howell, Jaclyn Annunziata and her wife, Rachel of Galloway, and Katie Stevens and her husband, Chris of Hopewell; step-grandmother, Joanne Wickberg of Old Bridge; and canine companions, Wink, Elsa, and Steve.

A Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:00AM for Karlie’s funeral service. Interment is private.
