Condolences
We were truly sorry to hear about the passing of Jerry. I worked with him first at the Municipal Court as he was one of our Court Officers and then again when I moved over to the Police Department. He was such a nice guy and always had a smile on his face. We are so sorry to have missed being able to pay our final respects as we were away. Linda please know that we are keeping you and your family in our prayers during this most difficult time. Bonnie and Richard Mumpower
Kibran wrote, "Let us not remember one in death but in life..." Jerry was one of those few that I always felt comfortable with, he was always happy and full of beans when we met up. When we came over to the US we always looked forward to seeing him.
When the food is good and the company is better I will always remember Jerry... Simply we will miss you Jerry.

My cousin Jerry and I grew up together. His Mom and my grandmother, Loretta Herbert, were sisters and I spent may summer days in Farmingdale with him, his brother Ralph and his sister Phyllis. Those are some of my best childhood memories. He grew into a strong, loving man who loved his family and his country. I was so happy to be a bridesmaid in his and Linda's wedding. Although we haven't seen one another in a long time, I always felt a strong bond with you, cousin. I hope you, Ralph, Grandpop Herbert and Uncle Tom get to do some dear hunting together in heaven!
Uncle Gerald was a man who I admired and respected. I will miss our conversations thru txt, phone and in person. I will miss porkroll, egg, cheese and grilled onions on a hardroll, with coffee, over conversations of family and just life in general with him. By the way....excellent call on the grilled onions Uncle ;-) Family was important to him. He was proud of his children and grandchildren. And if i could give just one bit of advice to his grandchildren as you start on your journey thru life, look to your grandfather as your role model....strive towards that example he set......I know it seems a huge task but after all, your all Murphy's, we are all capable, its in our DNA. Heck, anyone that knew Uncle Gerald should use him as an example to be better human beings. Love you Uncle Gerald, Rest in Peace
Gerry was a wonderful human. I can not say enough good things about him he will truly be missed
