Condolences
Terrific gentleman...loved life and his pursuit of happiness!
My prayers and condolences to Frank’s family.
Dear Gail and Family, Please accept our deepest condolences in this time of grief. Frank was a husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, gentleman and scholar. He will be missed by many; Gail-the love of his life, his siblings, his relatives-far and wide, his friends, the many people he led in tours to Italy and finally his beloved students-in whom he instilled a knowledge of Italian language and culture. In these dark days of 'cancel culture', we lose, in Frank, a true Defender of the Faith, but we are sure when he gets his Angel's Wings he will continue protecting Christian history and culture from above. Eternal Memory to you, Frank, from generation to generation.
Dios lo tiene en su santa gloria Mucha fortaleza para toda la familia un fuerte abrazo
My dearest Professore Campione... Your guidance and presence in my life over the years will never be forgotten or replaced. Words can't express the genuine and incredible impact that you had on me and so many other students and lives. I to this day cross out with a single line and parenthesis when I make a mistake on a legal document and think of you with gratitude immediately. This is just one example of the many great things you taught that helped shaped the capable and professional person that I am today... Thank you endlessly for loving your students and always wanted the absolutely best for each and every one of them. I love you per sempre and will miss you from the bottom of my heart xoxoxo My deepest condolences and prayers to your beautiful and loving wife.
Con affetto,
Joanna Caruso

Frank and I met a couple of times. The first time when he reached out to me at Columbia H.S. In Maplewood, N.J., to find out what I did to start the Italian Dinner and Music Night. He shared with me his goals for his Italian Night project, which he and his students accomplished successfully. The second time we met in person, after my retirement, at the 2015 Columbia H.S.’s Italian Night, run by Mrs. Funari. That evening, I also had the pleasure to meet his wife Gail.
His advertisements of his Italian Nights in The Italian Tribune of West Orange, NJ, detailing the events of the evening and the causes they benefited, are a testament of his success to help the Italian program in his school.
May you Rest In Peace, Frank!
We send our sincerest condolences to Gail and the entire family,
Domenico and Donna Tancredi

I send my condolences to Professor Campione’s friends, family, and loved ones. As one of his former Italian students who had the privilege of being taught by him for three years, it saddens me to know that one of my favorite high school teachers has passed. ‘Professor’ as we called him, was truly a remarkable instructor. He had a great love and devotion for teaching and his students; and he left a lasting impact on my life, as I’m sure he did with each and every one of his students. Professor instilled in me a love for the Italian language and culture. So much, that ever since I took his classes, I have set a goal to visit Italy one day. And when that day comes, I know I will be thinking of him. Rest In Peace Professor.
When our group of friends got together, as the spiritual person he was, Frank would always tell me about the growing list of people he personally prayed for every night. I’m sure Jesus gathered those prayers and formed them into a crown of honor to place on Frank’s head as he entered his true home. Sam and I are also sure that our son Stevie who he loved along with Jesus gave him a warm welcoming hug. Our loss, heaven’s gain. Gail and family, Frank will always spiritually walk beside you.
