Obituary of Joni Quinones

Joni Quinones, 60, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge Township passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick.  Joni was born in South Amboy and raised in Parlin.  She then lived in South Amboy again until moving to Laurence Harbor in 2008.  Joni was a shipping secretary for E.S. Sutton Warehousing, Sayreville for the past 32 years.  She was a self-taught knitter and crocheter, who did amazing work.  Joni was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring Mima.

She was predeceased by her twin sister, Jeri L. Holden this past June.  Joni is survived by her husband of 40 years, David; a daughter, April Pastirik and her husband, Jeremy A. of Laurence Harbor; a grandson, Jeremy D. Pastirik; sister, Judith Thompson of Manalapan; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful feline companions, Charlotte, Jax, and Phoebe.

A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to her Go Fund Me Page.  For information, direction or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
