Obituary of Isidro F. Cruz

Isidro F. Cruz, 88, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born and raised in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1972 with his family, settling in Freehold in 1987. Isidro had worked as a chemical engineer for Aero Gear as well as in Farmingdale until his retirement.  He was a religious man and an active parishioner at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Freehold.  Isidro enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and even a game of Mahjong.  Most of all, he loved to travel with his family, especially trips to Atlantic City. Isidro was a fun-loving father and devoted husband who will be deeply missed.

Isidro is survived by his wife of 56 years, Catalina M. Cruz of Freehold; children, Irene Cruz Lamoureux of Florida and Hector M. Cruz of Freehold; grandchildren, Brandon Bevacqua, Anthony Bevacqua, and Angelina Bevacqua; sisters, Benita Cruz, Rufina Cruz, and Maxima Cruz; brothers, Loreto Cruz and Bonifacio Cruz, Jr.; and many loving family members in the Philippines.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  For those that cannot attend in person, the family invites you to participate via WEBCAST.
