Obituary of June Carol Campisano
June Carol Campisano, 84, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Ocean University Medical Center, Brick. She was born to Lester and Wanda Warman, also from Bayonne. Living so close to Manhattan, she grew up in the sock-hop era, loving the fashion and culture of the theater and the arts.
Straight from high school she worked at Woolworths and Morgan Stanley. But not too long after, settled down and married her teenage sweetheart, Joseph Campisano, her husband of 45 years. June also worked for Farina Patio Inc. as their office manager for 15 years.
June loved to read. She had many favorite books, but the one closest to her heart was her Bible. When she wasn’t reading, she could be found cooking a delicious meal for her friends and family. They would gather around the table with the smell of Sunday sauce on the stove. Those memories, especially at her summer home of 40 years in Pt. Pleasant Beach NJ, will always be cherished.
She was a woman of great faith and prayer, who loved being in the house of God. A long-standing member of Christ Church in Howell NJ, she served as a greeter and prepared communion. She loved the Lord above all and cherished the love and friendships of her church family - her pastors, Christ Church and AAM families.
June was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Campisano. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Campisano of Jackson; son, Joseph Campisano and his wife, Sherry of Wall; grandchildren, Joseph Campisano and Anthony Campisano, both of Wall; sisters, Sandra Pappas of Port Charlotte, FL, and Joyce Loeffler of White House Station, NJ; sister-in-law, Mildred Dallacqua of Redford, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Christ Church of Howell, 71 Oak Glen Road, Howell, NJ on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with her funeral service to follow. Interment will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. All services are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
