Obituary of Ronald B. Beam
Ronald B. Beam, 75, of Howell passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold. He was born and raised in Illinois. Ronald had lived in Ohio, Great Kills Staten Island, Aberdeen, and Old Bridge before settling to Howell in 2012. He bravely served for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ronald was a senior programmer of Torpedo’s for a Military Supply Company in Seattle, Washington. He worked as Chief Information Officer for Bilkays Express in Linden for many years. Ronald was the treasurer for Surrey Downs Condo Association and Men’s Club, played card games Monday nights, and called Bingo on Wednesdays. He had a 300 game at Howell Lanes and shot a hole in one in a golf game at Bel Air Country Club. Ronald took many online classes at M.I.T, loved computers, rock and roll, and especially Johnny Cash. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was passionate about spending quality time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Linda Beam; children, Thomas, Brian, Kevin, and Carrie; step-sons, Christopher Diaz and his wife, Kim Marie of Staten Island, and Gregory Diaz of Staten Island; and two step-grandchildren who were his world, Samantha and Theresa.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
