Obituary of Michael D. Kelly

Michael D. Kelly, 83, of Freehold passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Hoboken, and had lived in Fair Haven before settling to Freehold in 1978. Mike worked for Adamatic in Eatontown as a plant manager for 35 years. During his downtime he enjoyed the game of golf and playing the slots in Atlantic city and betting on the horses at Monmouth Racetrack.  He was a true sports fan who enjoyed nothing more than relaxing at home with a cold Budweiser as he cheered on the Yankees and Giants. Michael was a remarkable husband and father and never missed his kid’s sporting events, From Softball at Freehold Borough Highschool to Baseball at Monmouth University.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Joe Kelly, Jimmy Kelly and his wife Peggy and Patricia Oriolo. Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Kelly of Freehold; Three Children; Daniel Kelly and his wife Jennifer of Shrewsbury, Michael Kelly and his fiancé Lisa Dicosimo, Jennifer Boyce and her husband Ryan of Freehold; Four grandchildren, Erin, Aidan, Madison and Tyler; Brother-In-law, Nick Oriolo of East Hanover.

A gathering of friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with his funeral service to follow.
