Obituary of Liliana Pugliese

Liliana Pugliese, 50, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at St. Peter’s University Medical Center, New Brunswick. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and settled here in 2002.  Lily had a heart of gold, always thinking of others before herself.  She was a wonderful mother, involved in her kid’s soccer and basketball activities, devoting her life to her children and raising them to be the best people they could be.  Her family is most grateful for all those that were around Lily until her last breath, surrounding her in prayer and love.

Lily is survived by her husband of 23 years, Thomas Pugliese; two children, Antonio Pugliese and Vittoria Rose Pugliese; parents, Francesco and Marisa Schirripa  of Marlboro; siblings, Paola Cota and her husband, Michael of Old Bridge, and Ben Schirripa and his wife, Keri of Aberdeen; in-laws, Antonio and Rosa Pugliese of Howell; sister-in-law, Rosemary Vozza of Howell; brother-in-law, Rocco Pugliese and his wife, Ingrid of Howell; sister-in-law, Celeste Nobile and her husband, Christopher of Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.  Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
