Obituary of Ronald Lukach

Ronald “Luke” Lukach, 87, formally of Morganville, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born in Perth Amboy and was raised in Carteret. Ron was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Perth Amboy, Class of 1952. Here is where he met the love of his life, and wife-to-be, Patricia. In 1962, they moved to Morganville where Ron owned and operated County Irrigation for 40 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Local 857 in Woodbridge for many years. Ron was an avid golfer and was so proud of his hole-in-one at the age of 70. Most of all, he loved to travel with his wife and spend time at the beach with his family.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline Lukach.  He was the youngest of thirteen children, all who have predeceased him except for his sister, Dorothy Marek of Carteret.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia Lukach of Freehold; children, Lynn Lilly and her husband, Floyd of Naples, FL, David Lukach and his wife, Ellen of Murphy, NC, Michael Lukach and his wife, Kristen of Bordentown, Patty Lisa and her late husband, Phil of Freehold, Nancy Kletky-Wells and her husband, Glenn of Freehold, and Jane Ciani and her husband, Ray of West Long Branch; nine grandchildren, Lenora, Kevin, Michael, Daniel, Rylee, Kristina, Morgan, Emily, and Isabel; two great grandchildren, Norah, Ella, and one the way to be named Charlotte; and favorite sister-in-law, Joan Dias, and her sons, Bob, John, and Chris.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.  Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.
