Obituary of Rocco Loccisano
Rocco Loccisano, 84, of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021 with his family by his side. Born in Gioiosa Ionica, Italy, Rocco immigrated to the U.S. in 1956 and Rocco become a proud American Citizen. He ran his landscaping business for 42 years, a business he shared with his boys. Rocco enjoyed his homemade wine and cigars, watching his beloved Serie A Italian soccer team Torino, playing Scopa and Briscola, casinos, the blazing 7 machines and his iPad. He also loved dancing il Valzer (waltz) and the marzucca with his wife, and he was a Master Tarantella dancer. To Rocco, his family was everything and he faithfully devoted his life to them. He was tremendously loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Rocco was predeceased by his parents, Marianna and Guiseppe Loccisano; brother, Francesco Loccisano; and sister, Maria Rosa Iervasi. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maria Loccisano of Gioiosa, Italy; his three beloved children, Marianna Cuccia and her husband, John of New Jersey, Giuseppe “Joe” Loccisano and his wife, Toni-Anne of Florida, and Frank Loccisano and his wife, Catrina of New York; cherished grandchildren, Patrizia Stefanski and her husband, John, Michael Cuccia and his wife, Lauren, Joseph Loccisano, Rocco Loccisano, Gianfranco Loccisano, and Angelo Loccisano; as well as his great grandchildren, Gia Cuccia and Romina Stefanski; sister, Maria Ferraro of New York; and nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and loyal friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 24), Freehold Township on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. For those who cannot attend Mass in person, the family invites you to participate via webcast. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, West Main Street, Freehold Township.
