Obituary of Pasquale De Tommaso

Pasquale De Tommaso, 66, of Havre De Grace, Maryland passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born in Grottaglie, Italy and moved to Philadelphia when he was a teenager. Pasquale lived in many places across the United States after leaving Philadelphia. He lived in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, before settling in Maryland. His boisterous and gregarious nature made him many friends wherever he went. Pasquale had spent most of his career as a restaurateur and owned Italian restaurants across the United States. He had excellent taste in food and could tell how any dish was made just from a taste. He loved a fast car, and later in life spent his time buying, selling, and restoring cars. Pasquale was the patriarch of the De Tommaso family and took great pride in making sure everyone was always well-fed. Pasquale lived for his children and grandchildren, and he always had a photo and a story ready to relay to anyone he met. 

Pasquale was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Carmela De Tommaso; his sister, Lella Cinque, and his brother, Rudolfo De Tommaso. He is survived by his adoring wife of 17 years, Elvira; his sons, Vincent De Tommaso and his wife, Julia of Holmdel, and Nicolas De Tommaso and his wife, Marianna of Jackson; his grandchildren, Caterina and Luciano; his sisters, Lucia Modica and her husband, Giuseppe of Grottaferatta, Italy, and Rita Nicholl of Pennsylvania; as well as many extended family members across the U.S. and Italy.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.
